Vehicle Lifts for Scooters, Powerchairs, and Wheelchairs

You can expand your mobility and independence away from home with a vehicle lift that will allow you to take your wheelchair, powerchair or scooter with you.  A well-made and properly installed vehicle lift can be used easily and safely, without the risk of damage or injury.

As shown below, there are three basic styles of vehicle lift, each of which comes in a variety of sizes and styles to fit the type of vehicle and mobility device you own.

The interior style (above left) uses a small crane with a hook and line to pick up your chair or scooter, raise it, and move it to the inside of your vehicle, where it is then secured.

The external style (above center) has a platform or arm onto which you drive, push or place the scooter or chair, and then raise it off the ground into a secured transport position.

The hybrid style (above right), which is the newest variety of vehicle lift, extends a platform to the outside on the ground, and then lifts and stows the mobility device inside -- in some models at the push of a button.

We can recommend the best style and model of vehicle lift for you, taking into account the type of chair or scooter you own, your vehicle make and fittings, and the physical abilities of those who will operate the lift. As part of our installation, we show you how to use your vehicle lift easily and safely.

We also offer custom installation of lifts and ramps for pickups and vans, and can provide options for extended ramps that fold up and swing away, along with designs that allows you to move an external platform to the side in order to gain access to the rear of your vehicle.

If you're ready to take your scooter, powerchair or wheelchair on the road, call us for a free consultation or use our Contact form to request a brochure.
